Yep. I'd been on a waiting list for nearly a year. Fortunately, I got
one of the new v2 devices. It supports using Apple II drives as well as
34 pin drives. I've used it with an FDADAP to interface to a Qumetrak 842
8" drive as well. For 5.25" and 8" drives, you need to make sure you're
using 1K termination resistors or it won't be able to write data.
The native format is A2R, which is a public domain, fully documented spec
created by the Applesauce designer. The software will output in a few
other formats. I think the next release will include IMD, NSI, and H8D
output formats in addition to the others it does now.
