Here is the preliminary information for the new full length H17 controller with VDIP1 support.

Just a thought: Les’ original version had a number of LEDs to monitor the board including the select lines:

Can’t recall if there was a specific reason for removing those from the current design? Worth putting any of those back in? At least side select? Was there a 40/80 track indicator?

OK, I will add the LED’s as I did not see that much value when compare with the H17  I/O LED. Also, I will add the VDIP1 LED1 header as well for front panel monitoring.

 

Yes it supports 3.5” floppy drives.
