Hello Glenn,
You mentioned that the H8 Backplane v1.4 that you have is fine as it is. If that is the case, I will leave as it is right now and not to worried about shifting the 25-pin down connector by one pin. That will be a lot of work as it is hard to focus on the 25-pin components as they are shifted to an angle when editing.
Attached is latest updates to such board. I need to fix some lettering issues on K8 connectors and JP3 and JP4. Also update labeling to V2.0
Thanks,
Norberto

The problem is with the focus. For example if I try to select P2, the tool might select P11 instead and then I moved the wrong slot by mistake. The board was design in 2009, so it could be old version on new version as well. Yesterday for example I deleted D6 and it deleted P21 and D6 at the same time. I did not notice that P21 was gone after a while when looking at the whole board.
This is the only board showing this behavior. The Front Panel board was fine while editing as it was designed in 2009 as well.
Thanks,
Norberto

I’m done with the H8 backplane and will order a few boards to test it out on the H8 chassis.
It has a few improvements with the capability to break the backplane to support two CPU’s boards on same enclosure. Also added PTC fuses to control the current when using the PC power supply to avoid burning out the backplane in the event of a short. Also includes the circuit to put the PC power supply in standby when using the PC power switch.

Updates:
Backplane shipped, so hopefully it will be on my hands by this weekend or by next week. I hope for the best.
