Selling My H8 Collection :-(

It's that time of life - downsizing. And my computer collection isn't being spared.

Over the last few years I've sold my PET's, my Kim-1, and a few others. But now it is time for my H8 collection to find a new home. Which is how I think about it, and why I'm starting here on the SEBHC group (as opposed to the eBay free-for-all). Hopefully, I can find someone (maybe a bit younger than I) who would like to own this bit of history.

I haven't quite settled on a price in my head yet - but I'm not looking to give it away cheap. My wife is thinking "vacation" :-) and it's really hard to argue with her.

So, have a look at https://rothfus.com/H8 . I don't have *everything* up there yet, but 99% of everything. I've shot a few videos, too, which were fun to do. It gave me an excuse to put everything together for one last run.

BTW - it gave me a chance to fire-up the SVD again...which I think qualifies for "vintage" now since it was created in 2004! (or does it need to be 25 years???)

Where did you get the boxes that you put your H8 cards in? I have a few of mine in some really nice boxes with anti-static foam, but the cost together with the minimum quantity keep preventing me from ordering more.

Thanks Glenn! It has been a blast putting everything together, and getting it all working.

Joe - I'm planning to sell it all together if possible. It would just feel better to have the whole collection in a new home.

Scott - the little black boxes were on Amazon for about $1.25 each - I got a pack of 25. And I know what you mean about "space" - that's what's driving this - downsizing space (and thinking about the future).

This has happened before. Someone with an earthlink email account has done something that has triggered the existing emails to be resent to the list. I took a quick look at the headers, and it shows the same thing, all coming from one IP address, and has earthlink hosts in the headers...
