Current BOM for Z80 v4 ?

Sorry to be dense, but I do not see a BOM spreadsheet on Norberto's web site.
Where can I find the most current BOM and assembly notes (if they exist)?

I don't believe I've seen anyone work on one of those. Presumably 95% overlap with previous Rev of the board?

Note: On the DUAL USART/USB board there is X1-1.8432 Oscillator part. Do not buy/install as it was moved to the Z80 board and renamed "3.68MHz OSC." Also the J1 part number is wrong.

Yes. I think Terry Smedley may be working on a BOM for the Rev 4 board (?)

Yes the speed utilities should be the same for the two boards I believe...

Attached is first Pass for the BOM, which I'm still reviewing. There is a PDF file and Excel file with the first Column locked. Feel free to use and report out any issues.

 

I will like to thank Terry Smedley for putting this together as it takes a lot of time and energy.

 

For next BOM on the H8 Front Panel, I will load it into Mouser.com as a BOM, so that it is easy to buy all the parts easily.

My bad on first line:

The switch listed in this file is when using Heath PAM37 monitor on the Z80 V4 board. The Z80 V4 board supports all Heath monitors as it is backwards compatible.

With some feedback from Z80 v4 boards being built, some improvements have been made to the jumper settings document.  Norberto will publish this to his website when he has an opportunity.

Changes:
- setting for JP15 (RAM_DIS) was backwards
- all jumpers are now labeled "TOP", "BOTTOM", "LEFT", "RIGHT" to avoid any confusion about Pin 1 orientation (which can be different from jumper to jumper)

The BOM appears to be reasonably accurate.

Some build notes:
- If you choose to use the ZIF socket for the EEPROM at U100, you may want to mount bypass cap C28 from the back of the board and clip the leads very tight to the front of the board to avoid interference with the socket
- The ZIF socket adds some height to the EEPROM and the clearance required underneath the DUART piggyback board.  A higher-clearance alternative to the 40-pin machined socket and pin headers shown in the BOM is to use the same mounting scheme used with the H17 daughtercard on the new storage controller.   The under-DUART board clearance has to be balanced against the above-DUART board clearance against the front panel.
- It has been recommended to omit installing headers at JP22,23,26, and 27 (the voltage regulator bypass jumpers) if you are not immediately planning to use a PC-style power supply to put regulated voltages on the H8 bus.  There is the possibility of smoke and the smell of burning electronics if jumpers are inadvertently placed there with the standard H8 power supply in place.
- If you use the Pololu buck/boost switching regulators, the jumpers at JP22 and JP23 are never needed, regardless of which power supply you use
- The two blocks labeled "+12v" and "-12v" are not jumpers, and no headers are specified for them on the BOM.  They can be used as test points, or power takeoffs for very modest +/-12v requirements.

Please post your build experiences, or note any document discrepancies, so we can keep the documentation up-to-date.

Thanks, Terry, for all your help! I just updated the website with your information.

On the ZIP socket, let's use instead the regular machine tooled socket, as the EEPROM can be updated In-Circuit. 

I bought this one last year which fits nicely for debug, but strongly suggest using the machine tooled socket instead.
