Before the From Hiroshima to Hope ceremony, volunteers from Seattle Go Center will replay the "Atomic Bomb Go Game" (between Iwamoto Kaoru and Hashimoto Utaro; interrupted by the nuclear attack on Hiroshima in 1945), in remembrance of the victims of war, and in accordance of Iwamoto-sensei's mission of spreading transcultural understanding and peace with Go. The game is depicted on the side of the Go Center building. The From Hiroshima to Hope program begins at 7 PM, and concludes with floating lanterns on Green Lake around 8:30 PM.
