Hello fellow Go enthusiasts, a few schedule updates.
The monthly AGA ratings tournament is today, and Mr. Myungwan Kim will *not* be doing game reviews 11am-12pm.
Rather, he will be there at 5pm to offer a few brief game reviews.
Tomorrow, 6:30-8:30pm, Nick Sibicky's "Double Digit Kyu" class will feature Mr. Kim as guest lecturer, which will be
awesome!
Tuesday the Go Center is open 1pm-10pm for "the largest weekly gathering of Go players in North America (possibly the
Western Hemisphere)™"!
6:30-8:30pm, Mr. Kim will make a presentation on Connect Go, which is a simplified form of Go, more accessible for
some neurologically atypical persons (on the autism spectrum, for example). 8:30-9pm, players who are interested can
get hands-on practice at Connect Go with Mr. Kim.
Wednesday, 6:30-8:30pm, Drew Barnett's "Programming Go AI" class is scheduled as usual.
Thursday, the Go Center is open 2pm-9pm.
6:00-8pm, Mr. Kim will play simultaneous games, challenging up to eight players at once! (If you got to play Mr. Kim
yesterday, priority will go to those who didn't play him yet.)
6:30-8:30pm, the "Complete Beginners" class is still a GO. (Ah, I crack myself up.)
Friday, Mr. Kim will be heading to Portland Oregon. On the way, we're planning for him to stop at the Baduk club in
Lakewood -- still waiting for confirmation.
Saturday, the Go Center is open 1pm-5:30pm -- closing a little early for the Gala Night of Pair Go!
5pm-5:30pm, register in person for Pair Go (two-person mixed-gender teams; festive attire encouraged). $10 per
player ($5 for youth / Go Center voting members) -- includes dessert. First round begins at 6pm.
What an exciting week of Go!
See you soon at the Go Center,
