Greetings, all. I hope this note finds you safe, warm, and with electricity. Alas, as of this moment, I still do not have power at my house, and therefore, as of this moment, we are not going to have an SRCS meeting tomorrow.
However, things may change between now and tomorrow morning, so I will post an update then. I'm also open to the meeting starting a little late if it seems clear that electricity will be restored but not by 11:00 a.m.
TL;DR the substation near me was restored to operation just before 11:00 a.m. today. Another part of my neighborhood, that has a different feed from the substation, had its power restored at 3:00 p.m. I can see the broken and down the line that is preventing me from having power. It is about 3 blocks up the street that you all use to get to my place. Several hours ago, the cleanup crew came through and cut down the tree that caused the line break and hauled away the debris. Since then, there has been a vehicle stationed there with its hazard flashers on, to alert residents to stay away from the wire that is now hot on one side.
The person with that vehicle has no idea when the crew might arrive to restore service. As with most of the other entries in the PSE app, there is a generic date and time listed for service restoration, so there's really no information about when. One can speculate that the repair crew should be onsite soon, since preliminary steps have been completed, but I don't have any actual knowledge of their workflow.
Thanks,
--Kent
