Hi!  Randy from the Floppy Days Vintage Computing Podcast shared this Kickstarter for a book about Sphere Computers.  I’ve read a <lot> about the early days of personal computing and had never heard of this company before. Curious if I’m the only one so sharing as well.

I have an entry for Sphere Corp (Bountiful, Utah) in my copy of Collectible Microcomputers.  It describes Sphere 1 through 4 models and Micro-Sphere 200.  Also gives a bit of history about the company itself.

I’ve seen Ben Z’s videos but didn’t know he was trying to get a book written. Very neat!

Can't believe I've never used ribbon cable as a bookmark before.

Tempted to buy a spool on Digikey rather than tear up something useful 😜.

(Seriously though, looks like a beautiful book. Thanks for posting.)

Sphere was mentioned several times in Michael Swaine’s book “Fire In The Valley,” which is one of the foundational texts of early microcomputer history (along with Steven Levy’s “Hackers,” of course.
