Hello folks,

At the Fall 2023 event there was a resounding YES to trying again in the Spring.  March 30-31 seemed ideal until a few folks pointed out it was Easter Weekend.  With VCF events in Feb and Apr would March 23-24th be okay? it potentially steps on an SRCS meeting but maybe we could have a friendly cross over?

Looking forward to trying ICF Spring in 2024

Hi all,

Speaking as officially as the SRCS "admin" thing ever gets, I'd like to point out that we have historically been more than happy to move or consolidate our meetings to work with similar events in our region.  Either one sounds like a good option to me -- if we move our meeting to avert a collision, we get extra retrocomputing time that month; if we roll our meeting into the spring ICF, then people who might otherwise experience only one of them can get a taste of both.

Does anyone have a preference?  If no other consideration helps decide, we have to remember that it does depend on whether Kent and his building are both available on any other Saturdays in March.

I like having SRCS take a month off and encourage participation in other events. I’m sure Kent wouldn’t mind having a break too.

Sounds good to me!

Maybe…maybe this will finally push me to get my IMSAI all running.

I concur with J.P.  Aside from giving Kent a break, it helps avoid doubling the fuel my vehicle annihilates on these monthly trips from the south...  ;-)

You guys are worrying me a little – do I look / sound / smell like I need a break! Oh nooooooooo!

But seriously, thanks for thinking of my {mental, physical} health. Redirecting the monthly meeting to ICG Spring is fine with me!

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

These two shows are tentative but will confirm with INTRASPACE as soon as possible.

ICF Spring 2024: March 23rd - 24th 10am-6pm with load in on the 22nd
PaCommEx NW: June 15th - 16th 10am -6pm with load in on 14th

PaCommEx is the Pacific Commodore (and Amiga) northwest edition co-sponsored by the Fresno Commodore User's Group with CCC cross over.
Your Mega65 is most welcome.

uffda, June 15th and 16th was booked, but also June is a long with 5 full
weekends, so hopefully there is some flexibility with where the SRCS Saturday
meeting will land in June 2024.

The *confirmed* dates for two public events are now:

ICF Spring 2024: March 23rd - 24th 10am-6pm with load in on the 22nd
PaCommEx NW: June 22nd - 23rd 11am-5pm with load in on 21st

Registration for ICF will open in January on https://icm.museum
