Hi everyone,
I'm contacting you because I need to replace the propeller on Tresco Maid. I'd like to know if anyone has encountered this problem before. I have a major issue with the propeller shaft cone size, which isn't standard.
Do you have a solution, or do you know which manufacturer I could contact to find a replacement propeller?
Best wiches

Hi,
I presume you mean the taper on the shaft? These are never really 'standard' but a supplier should be able to measure the old one and replicate it.
Dougal has a feathering propeller made by Darglow.

Yes, that's right. The shaft cone, exactly. What do you think about repairing the propeller? Antibody as an experience about this solution?

I removed and then had my propeller repaired and polished at a specialist workshop, here in Ireland, a few months ago. Now going much better, getting a full 5.5kn at 2000 RPH!
Jimmy Walsh Propellers in Ballygillane Little, Rosslare Harbour, Co Wexford, Ireland, Y35 HK49. (Ji...@onestoppropshop.ie). Excellent specialist service for Commercial and Leisure vessels and right beside Rosslare Port (Stena and Irish Ferries).

Hi
I have an old propeller which I had to change because the beta 35 goes the other way.
Regards
Ian

Only if you use the Betamarine gearbox, if you retain the Borg Warner it stays the same. This caused us a lot of greif when beer did our engine swap, the prop was made to suit the Betamarine gearbox and when launched Dougal moved backwards instead of forwards! For about 5 minutes I mistakenly thought I had made a mistake with the gear lever :-)
