I have a GEEKOM IT12 Mini PC 12th Gen Intel® Core i7-1280P with 32gb memory. Running SDRTrunk 0.6.1 final. Also tried the nightly and same result as described below.

After about 4 hours of ruining the memory usage approaches 8gb and the application locks up. I recently set -Xms6g to see if that would help - no suck luck. Prior to running on this machinse I had the app running on a SFF Dell Optiplex 7040M also with 32gb and had no issues. The OS on both are Win 11 pro.

The SDR is an SDRPLAY RSPdx. Monitoring the Michigan P25 system.

Are there other settings to help stabilize this system?

Attached is a log from the recent issue.

Any suggestions? Thanks, John.

I'm no expert....BUT...I run mine on a Intel NUC i7 with 16gb of RAM all day long / all night long and after looking at your log it APPEARS to me that you are doing some recording which is escalating your memory usage. I do NOT do any type of recording and it just works. Also, for a couple of years I was providing 2 Broadcastify streams (no longer) and still had solid performance. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck

Looks like the errors say airspy mini - do you have multiple devices plugged in by chance? These memory issues are almost always USB connection related, i also monitor MPSCS with a sdrplay rspdx2 and it works flawlessly. Check your connections and devices, take a screenshot of it running with a waterfall pic and post that too.

re-checking the file you added, you need to disconnect the RTLSDR and the Airspy MINI you have connected, should work great after that.

Thanks to all for the feedback.

On the Dell 7040 I was using the same SDR's and not having any issues. As that PC was running SDRTrunk and on occasions SDR++ and/or SDRConnect at the same time.  I did unplug/replug everything to kind of clear the board. In doing some early testing on the new PC I did have bit level recording turned on. Turning that off the recording seems to have stabilized running at about 5700mb. I will try the bits recording again to confirm if that was the culprit. So far the system has not bound up. Hoping to let it run continous today and see how things shake out.

Currently I have the 1st SDRPlay RSPdx for SDRTrunk plugged into a front USB port, monitoring the Shiawassee County system.

The Airspy mini connected to a rear USB port, connected to SDRTrunk, monitoring the Saginaw County system.

The 2nd SDRPlay RSPdx, used with SDRConnect, plugged into the USB 3.0 hub.

Thanks, John.

Whenever you get a chance to replace the airspy mini, that will help alot. I dealt with these issues back in 2021 and ended up moving to SDRPlay products and never looked back. The airspy mini caused the same usb buffer errors you're having and I would have to shut down and restart SDRTrunk a few times per day due to it.
