CW Macros do not work with ExpertSDR 3

In the meantime, SDC works perfectly with ExpertSDR 2. Today I did a first test with ExpertSDR 3, but unfortunately the CW macros do not work. The settings in SDC are the same as before. The SunSDR switches to TX, but no signal comes out. The SunSDR also remains in TX mode, I have to switch back to RX manually. Has anyone had the same experience? What can I do?

I think you need to update the firmware of the transceiver.

But in the latest version of ESDR3, the CW-terminal mode does not work correctly, not all transceivers have the CW-keyer mode working correctly.
Please contact the transceiver manufacturer.

I use a SunSDR2-DX. Unfortunately, I do not know which firmware version I am currently using. I have no idea how to find out at the moment. I have already searched but found nothing. I think the firmware should be up to date as I just bought the SunSDR.

i am not sure if your GUI looks the same as my MB1  but check

Dear Torsten!

Macros are working OK! I tested them with last EESDR3 last SDC and last FW in my SUNSDR2DX. I am not using them for now so I did not write till I tested them.

PTT and CW all OK. You have to know that new RIG is supplied with FW for EESDR2 because EESDR3 is still in BETA stage. So you have to update firmare if you did not did it.

Checking FW is easy. Look my pictures. Do not be confused with my IPs and ports....

Thank you for the replies to my query. For me, only the firmware designation is displayed when I click on the i icon at the bottom left. In the meantime I have researched further on the internet. Unfortunately, my English is not that good. I have now understood so. If I use ESDR2 I need a different firmware than if I use ESDR3. Is that right? Actually I wanted to use ESDR2 when I'm at home in my shack. And when I'm not at home I wanted to use ESDR3 via remote. That doesn't seem to work because of the different firmware, or do I have a mistake in reasoning?

Dear Torsten!

If you want to see FW number your ESDR3 must not run. Only ESDR device manager should be ON or should say acctivated. You must not click RUN button. In you case autostart should be OFF. And YES you are correct. It is ESDR3 or ESDR2. You can not run them with the same FW.

But that now is not any more SDC issue. SDC macros are running OK and I wil not post any more posts here concerning ESDR3 issues.

I have now updated the firmware from version 72.8 to 86.8 and everything works fine. Thanks to all for the great help. 

The following note was important: The button for the firmware update only appears in the firmware manager if the ESDR3 program is not running. I hadn't considered that and didn't realize how to start the firmware update manually.
