Hello Everyone!

Our garden educators are about to begin a cooking and nutrition unit through the fall and winter months and I'm wondering if anyone can share safety and sanitation guidelines they are using?  We operate within the Mt Diablo Unified School District and while there are custodial guidelines, there is nothing specific to cooking with the students.

Thank you for sharing any resources you are currently using to cook safely with kids!

Hi Laney,

The National Covid-19 Outdoor Learning Initiative has an immense amount of resources. This page https://www.greenschoolyards.org/meals-outdoors is specific to eating and cooking outdoors.
