Thank you, John, for having taken the initiative and moving things forward.
I don't want to jump the queue but would nevertheless like to declare
that I am willing to serve as committee F's chair should WG2 trust my
aptitude for such a job. The reason for my application is that a lot
of the non-portable things on the proposed agenda for F are based on
SRFIs written by me. Furthermore, as should be clear from my posts on
this list, having a consistent core with clear semantics is something
that is important to me and so I would be willing to invest some
energy for quite some time to come. I think I have a good in-depth
understanding of both R6RS and R7RS which would hopefully help build
strong and broad foundations for the rest of the large project. I
agree with everything you said regarding openness.
That said, I'm willing to make my contribution under any chair, of course.
