Cannot execute the GitHub software

Hi! I followed the instruction on the GitHub repo https://github.com/unibas-gravis/parametric-face-image-generator, but when I tried to execute java -Xmx2g -cp generator.jar faces.apps.RandomFaces -c data/config_files/example_config_random.json, it showed:

Error: Could not find or load main class faces.apps.RandomFaces

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: faces.apps.RandomFaces 

Please let me know if I did anything wrong. Thank you!

Hi Xiao Hu,

the command you are using to execute the generator is correct. The error is probably caused since it can't actually find the generator.jar file.

The easiest way to overcome this issue is to first navigate into the correct folder where the generator.jar file is located in your console/terminal via cd and then execute the command from before.

Thank you very much for your reply! However, I didn't find the generator.jar in the GitHub repo. Could you point me to the path of the generator.jar file?
