Hi,
I have followed the steps as per http://scala-ide.org/docs/current-user-doc/gettingstarted/index.html
However when I create a new scala project and try to add a new scala object I get this:
Underlying compilation unit is not a Scala Compilation unit.
This is most probably caused by disabled JDT weaving.
Run `Scala -> Run Setup Diagnostics` to enable it.

I have tried this several times and also followed the steps
https://wiki.eclipse.org/JDT_weaving_features
and
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/162430/
and I am not able to get it to work.

Just to let you know, scala ide adds a plugin
org.aspectj.weaver,1.8.6.20150608154244,plugins/org.aspectj.weaver_1.8.6.20150608154244.jar,4,true
However from before I also had this plugin in my eclipse
com.springsource.org.aspectj.weaver,1.6.10.RELEASE,plugins/com.springsource.org.aspectj.weaver_1.6.10.RELEASE.jar,4,false

As per eclipse forum both may be in conflict.

However when I remove the springsource line from org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info It is still not working.
(I tried removing the other one and also tried keeping both) but it did not work.

I am attaching my /bundles.info and config.ini.

Please let me know what may be going wrong.

Thanks
Sachin

I heard in the past that users had problems when they had both Scala IDE and the Spring Source stuff installed in the same Eclipse installation. Can't confirm though, I never used such a setup. I suggest that you setup two Eclipse installations, one for Scala and another one for Spring stuff.

Well, I experienced something similar on Neon Committers edition few days ago. The remedy was to get plain eclipse IDE for Java and installing Scala plugins there. I try to dig it little deeper.

Uninstalling the spring source stuff worked for me.
Looks like it is always better to install scala ide on a clean eclipse installation.
