Personalized health at large
Personalized Health opens wide area of science, technology, business, and societal fields. A rich choice of sessions will drive you through the challenges of big data, from data acquisition to complex analytics, from knowledge discovery to treatments and risk assessment. Amongst many others, the sessions will cover:
  • natural language processing to  action the power of free texts using hybrid artificial intelligence techniques;
  • data representation to leverage semantic interoperability;
  • FHIR to move towards shared patient record for care and research;
The conference will also put the citizen at the center, and cover topics such as:
  • human-machine interaction;
  • interfaces and mobile health;
  • human factors and impacts.

MIE 2020 is one of the few conferences allowing full peer-reviewed papers to be published in proceedings and indexed in Medline. It offers a unique opportunity to make your research available to the scientific community. All of it in a snap: Find a nice topic, prepare your 5 pages paper according to the guidelines, submit. After peer-reviewing by top-ranked field experts, if accepted, you will have the opportunity to present your work to your peers, discuss it, and grow your network ! 
Don’t hesitate even if you are you at an early stage of your work ! There is plenty of room for posters. Posters are also peer-reviewed, and if accepted presented during poster session to compete for the best poster prices ! And it’s even easier: submit a 2 pages abstract and prepare a poster that will be displayed during the conference. There are many other ways of participation, such as Panels, Workshops, Tutorials or Podium Papers, Science Slam … you’ll find all of it on the website !

 

Meet the stakeholders of the health valley
The number of biotech and medical technology firms in western Switzerland has boomed to such an extent that the region has been named “Health Valley”, with a nod to Silicon Valley for tech in California.
The region is home to almost 1,000 life sciences companies, from start-ups to multinationals like Baxter, Debiopharm and UCB Farchim, as well as 20 research centers and institutes of higher education. It employs 25,000 people and is considered among the three most important centers for the sector in Europe, along with Cambridge and Oxford in Britain.
Attending to MIE2020 will be a unique opportunity to get into contact with this ecosystem stakeholders.
