SELL YOUR CHAMETZ BEFORE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1, 12:15 PM. Pick up a form at a local Orthodox Shul, e.g. Saranac, Young Israel, Ohr Zion, etc., OR sell online: https://www.chabad.org/holidays/passover/sell_chometz_cdo/jewish/Sell-Your-Chametz-Online.htm
Tuesday night:
After Ma’ariv: Search for chametz. Instructions in siddur or haggadah.
Wednesday, April 1: Erev Pesach:
Fast of the firstborn: Firstborn males have the custom to fast until the Seder; they may redeem themselves from fasting through hearing or making a Siyyum (or if necessary, by giving tzedaka).
Finish eating chametz: 11:12 AM
Burn chametz by: 12:15 AM
Wednesday Evening: Night of Pesach l:
Candle Lighting : 7:23 PM Earliest time to eat matzah, both nights: 8:15 PM
Thursday, April 2: Pesach l:
Shema before: 10:07 AM
At Musaf: We begin saying “Morid HaTal.”
Shekiyah/Sunset: 7:43 PM
Thursday evening: Night of Pesach ll
Candle Lighting: AFTER 8:25 PM - light from an existing source.
Count Omer 1 after Ma’ariv (Some count in Shul, others at kiddush.)
Friday, April 3: Pesach ll - FIRST DAY OF THE OMER
If you forgot to count the Omer at night: Any Omer day can be counted all the following day until sunset without a bracha, then subsequent days can be counted with a bracha (Consult your Rabbi.).
Shema before 10:06 AM
All cooking for Shabbos and setup of blech (hot plate or stove cover) must be completed before Shabbos begins.
Friday night: Erev Shabbos Chol Hamoed
Candle Lighting: 7:26 PM (Light from existing flame. Do not light after sunset.)
Shekiyah/Sunset: 7:44 PM. Festival Ends: 8:26 PM
At Ma’ariv – Count Day 2 of the Omer.
Saturday, April 4 - Shabbos Chol Hamoed
Zeman Shema: before 10:05 AM
Sunset is 7:46 PM.
At Ma’ariv: We begin saying "v'sain bracha."
Shabbos ends: Shul tradition, 60 min.: 8:46 PM. 42 min.: 8:28 PM; 72 min.: 8:58 PM. Count day 3 of the Omer.
