This  is cool!   I'm sure  many of us own a  Simpson.  I still  have  mine  from 1967.

I was in high  school  in  1967   working   part  time  at  Safeway..   saved enough  $$$   to  buy one ....  I  think  it  was around  100$
I loved it.

I enrolled in the local technical college in 1989 in the Electronic Tech. program. after one of my hips finally quite working. Two years later finished at the top of my class and was awarded a Simpson!  (The department was switching to the "new" digital meters.) One of my instructors  told me there are things you'll never see on a digital meter,  hang on to the Simpson. I still used it when I want to see some "analog" voltage. :-)
