Hardware Alex Pettit :  STUDENT EDITION Circular Patch Feed Disk Director Yagi Antenna

 

A Small,  Efficient,  Portable,  Economical, 21cm Wavelength Antenna with Excellent Performance.

 

The intent of this is to provide instructions to fabricate a

Student Level 21cm Hydrogen Line Radio Telescope

able to be Fully Constructed with Hand Tools.  

 It is light enough to be mounted on a very low cost photo tripod

Software  Jamison Adcock:  IFAvg2CSV designed to Process Daniel Kaminski IF_Ave *.txt filesets by

 

Correcting the Spectra for Background Drift ,

Normalizing the Spectra to Cold Sky,

Converting the Spectra to a logarithmic dB Scale ( and future alternate scalings )

Processing the Spectra files into *.csv Formats compatible with  Fumihiro Matsui Rinearn  Graphics

Output : Raw Data 2D File, Frame to Frame Drift 2D File , Drift Corrected and Normalized 2D/3D File

Oh I misunderstood – I thought this iteration allowed 3D plotting – I can see that is still to come – thanks

There are three other plots that allow you to examine :

1) each 'frame' of Raw data to see the spectral characteristics ,
2) the frame_by_frame background level Drift  ( cal'd in dB re lowest ampl )
3) the final Corrected Data set in 2D format ( cal'd in dB re Cold_Sky)
