Andrew,
I have searched my email for a notice about the next GNU Radio Group meeting but did not find anything. Have you announced the meeting?
I feel very strongly about using GNU Radio for data collection since GNU Radio has built in buffer management and an executor that manages processes for us.

Andrew,
Next GNU Radio Group meeting I am willing to present an overview of the software I am using..if ok with you but a warning.. The topic of digital filtering is a big one... In the software by Marcus Leech he uses a variable called split ratio which divides the noise reduction between traditional averaging and low pass filtering using a single pole infinite impulse response filter. This means the output of the transfer function is from - infinity to + infinity thus a windowing function is used to get convergence...... This kind of gets deep. I think I can talk about it without getting too deep. Let me know if you want me to present my modified gnu radio flowgraph.
