Job Summary
We are seeking a Mobile Device Testing Engineer with expertise in mobile device (iOS) testing and experience working with Spirent tools. This role involves developing and executing test plans, validating software and hardware performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality releases for wireless products and accessories. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of LTE, VoLTE, 5G, and iOS technologies, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, document, and revise test plans, procedures, and quality standards for wireless products and related accessories.
Manage bug reporting and resolution, including software upgrades using OEM tools.
Track and maintain test sample inventory; ensure devices are updated to the latest firmware.
Validate OEM and partner test results via regression and ad-hoc testing.
Test and certify maintenance releases (MRs) and security updates by executing regression plans and targeted test cases.
Manage activation and deactivation of test devices.
Compile and analyze test data, collect logs, and generate engineering reports for OEMs and other stakeholders.
Maintain issue-tracking tools and ensure accurate, up-to-date information.
Troubleshoot device-related issues and conduct field testing as necessary.
Monitor customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective test methods.
Deploy and maintain new test tools as required.
Collaborate with project stakeholders, development teams, and E2E testing teams.
Work independently with minimal supervision.

Technical Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of LTE, VoLTE, 5G RF, and core network technologies.
Experience with smartphones, iOS and/or Android OS, and wireless telecom technologies (GSM/WCDMA/LTE/WIFI).
Proficiency with automation tools such as Spirent or Eggplant.
Basic logging skills with QXDM and QCAT.
Experience planning, developing, and executing functional/regression test cases for mobile applications.
Familiarity with SIM and eSIM technologies.
Experience in mobile product certification processes for MNOs or MVNOs.
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence for project and defect tracking.

Education & Experience

Years of Experience: 5+ years in product development/technology management roles, including 3+ years in mobile/wireless testing.
Certifications: Not required, but relevant certifications are a plus.
