Responsibilities:
· Data Platform Solution Engineer with strong Databricks exposure.
· Design and develop frameworks, tools and processes for reliably ingesting and processing vast amounts of batch and streaming data into our data platform.
· Optimize data ingestion, storage and processing architecture to meet product, business and performance needs.
· Work with data scientists and analytics engineers successfully translating their requirements to engineering solutions .
· Be a thought leader and advocate for effective practices in data engineering space.
Skills, Knowledge and Experiences:
• Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related technical discipline .
• 5+ years of experience working in data engineering, business intelligence or related field delivering large scale data platforms and services.
• Experience with streaming and batch data processing frameworks.
• Demonstrated strength in data lake architecture, data storage strategies, data governance and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one or more general-purpose programming languages like Python, Java and Scala.
• Validated software engineering experience in design, test, source code management, and CI/CD practice.
• AWS or Azure (Preferred) knowledge and expertise.
• Experience practicing Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience working with DataBricks Spark and Snowflake.
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
