விரல்கொண்டு தட்டினேன் மெல்ல இருகாய்

கரம்கொண்டு கொட்டினேன் கம்பம் - அரவநீர்

காட்டியதேங் காய்கொண்டேன் கட்டியவள் தானுடைத்து

நீட்ட அழுகல் நிலை.

பதம் பிரித்து:

விரல்கொண்டு தட்டினேன், மெல்ல, இருகாய்

கரம்கொண்டு கொட்டினேன்; கம்பம் - அரவ-நீர்

காட்டிய தேங்காய் கொண்டேன்; கட்டியவள் தான் உடைத்து

நீட்ட, அழுகல் நிலை.
