My attempt on the similar (pessimistic) theme Inspired by your poem: 

வளைவுற்ற தண்டூன்றி வன்பிணியால் வாடிக்

களையற் றுதிர்சருகாய்க் காய்ந்தே - உளமும் 

தளர்வுற் றுருக்குலைந்தார் தம்மெண்ணத் தெங்கே

இளமை இருக்கும் இயம்பு.
