Please enlighten on what is the meaning and shabda rupam of पर्क:

पर्कः 'a mixture of honey', a respectful offering made to a guest or to the bridegroom on his arrival at the door of the father of the bride

'parka' is from 'pRc', meaning to mix or to touch/contact'. I am not sure how common it is as an independent word (Dictionaries either do not list it, or seem to say that it occurs only in compounds).
