A team of our friends in and around Saligao -- including Norma Cordeiro, Merlyn Francis, Diogo Fernandes, Simon Fernandes, and others -- are working to build a small mando network here. They conduct their discussions via WhatsApp (and can be quite animated at times).

If you are interested in this form of Goan music, and would like to check out this list, please do send me your WhatsApp number, and I'll add you to the same.

Their goal is reviving Saligao's once-rich mando traditions, which date back to the 1960s (as I can remember) and much earlier too... I guess.
