I use wsl with Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS installed. I installed sage from source code (SageMath version 10.4.beta9.)  View does not work. When I try to use it, it returns the error, "!  ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!." Latex does work though.

The Sage wiki has a relevant section. I found it useful.

Does anyone on linux platform experience sporadic "no pdf file" symptom?

We'd appreciate more details on how you run Sage and invoke view, and
what exactly you see in the error message.

E.g. if you run Sage in a WSL terminal and invoke view() at sage:
prompt, I don't even understand how
it can display anything graphic. If, on the other hand, you run Sage
via a jupyter notebook in a native Windows browser
(connected to your local WSL Sage install), then view() ought to
display something in your browser.
