Hello,

I have recently tried to run Sage on my computer, which used to work. However, for some reason, it no longer works. I am unsure how to fix it. Whenever I run the "sage" command in my Sage folder, I am unable to open a terminal with the program. I have attached the message. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it! Thank you! I am a little bit confused.

Error: It seems that you are attempting to run Sage from an unpacked source

tarball, but you have not compiled it yet (or maybe the build has not

finished). You should run `make` in the Sage root directory first.

If you did not intend to build Sage from source, you should download

a binary tarball instead. Read README.txt for more information.

Dear Anna,
we need to know more details

 - what is the OS you are using?
 - how have you tried to install Sage?

Thanks,
Dima

Hi Dima,

I am using Catalina. I installed Sage about a year ago for Sage Development, so I have the entire program in my computer.

Probably an update of MacOS broke your Sage installation, this is
known to happen.
You'd need to re-install Sage.
