Hi everyone!

I'm a recent MSc graduate in mathematics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I have a special interest in group theory, graph theory and discrete geometry. I have programming experience in Sage, GAP and Python. I've used both Sage and GAP to gain some insight into a problem I posed myself about the so-called commuting graph of simple groups and to experiment with other concepts I found in the literature. Recently, I have been Unfortunately, I have not managed to prove anything substantial, however I found a new interest in computational group theory.

It is not clear to me whether I'm eligible to partake in this project, since I'm not a student anymore, eventhough I'm new to open-source. If so, I'd have a few ideas for projects. Thank you in advance!

The eligibility criteria for GSoC has changed.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age when you register
  • You must be eligible to work in the country you will reside in during the program.
  • You must be an open source beginner or a student.
  • You have not been accepted as a GSoC Contributor/Student in GSoC more than once.
  • You must reside in a country that is not currently embargoed by the United States. See Program Rules for more information.
So, you're welcome to contribute to the projects.

Hello everyone,

I am Aditya Saini , pre-final year computer engineering undergraduate at ABES Engineering college, I am interested in applying for GSoC 2023. I am well aware of the  programming languages like Python , javascript. Also I have worked with  multiple python libraries such as numpy, matplotlib etc. And also I have a good mathematical background. I am aware of linear algebra, number systems and other concepts
As I am new to the open source contribution. Therefore, I don't know where to start actually.  so, can you help me with how should I proceed. Can you suggest me what I need to learn more to contribute to the project, and if possible assign me some  good first issue  so that I can contribute.
And  Also I go through  the 2023 project list and I am interested in 'Algorithms for Dynamical Systems ' project.other then python language what are the other skills I should have to learn to  contribute this project ...
looking forward to listen from you..
