Need Guidance For GSOC 2023

Hi ,

I am Pooja Bhatnagar and  I have done my engineering in Computer Science from NIT Hamirpur . I am looking to contribute in  SageMath through GSOC,2023 . I have a good knowledge of discrete mathematics , linear algebra , geometry and hands on experience in python and object oriented programming .

I went through the idea list of  SageMath and found the following projects aligning with my interests :

1.Improve (free) module implementations

2.Implement Schubert and Grothendieck polynomials

3.Fast evaluation of symbolic expressions

4. Implementation of generalizations of RSK algorithm

I would like to know from where should I start and it would be highly appreciated if you could share some material for reference which might include some books , links , open issues that I could look into .
