Mentor for alternative project

Hello,

I am in conversation with Nils Bruin (nbruin on trac) about a possible project proposal not on https://wiki.sagemath.org/GSoC/2021where he would be my mentor. Are there any restrictions on who can be a mentor? Nils is confident he can mentor these from a technical standpoint given his history with contributing to Sage.

Hi Linden,

You (and anyone else) are free to submit any project proposal, not just those listed on the wiki. There are no restrictions on mentors either (other than family/household members of students). Please have Nils send me an email saying he wants to be an mentor.
