Code of Conduct Committee Election Process

We, the SageMath Code of Conduct Committee, started our current term almost two years ago. While neither CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md nor CODE_OF_CONDUCT_COMMITTEE.md specifies a term length, we feel that after two years it is an appropriate time to run a new election to select the next committee.

There are many reasonable ways to organize such an election, and we believe the choice of procedure should be made by the community. To that end, we propose to discuss possible election methods on the sage-government mailing list

and then bring a concrete proposal to sage-devel for a vote. If you care about voting systems and the process, we invite you to join the discussion on sage-government.
