The first preview is now available at https://github.com/sagemath/sage
(it is "archived", i.e., read-only).

An issue with many comments folds the comments in middle. For example,

It's inconvenient to unfold it again and again. Is there a configuration that leave them unfolded by default?

1) there is something funny with search - it it because it's still not done?

https://github.com/sagemath/sage/issues?q=is%3Aissue+strongly+regular+is%3Aopen

gives

5 Open 71 Closed

No results matched your search.

----------------
so there are 5 open issues, but they are not shown. (searching for
closed ones seems to work)

----------------

2) GitHub nathanncohen is a real GitHub account, not a mannequin - and
it corresponds to Trac's ncohen just fine.

one reason for this is probably that it takes extra bandwidth and CPU
to get and render.
Besides, it might be more useful in many cases to keep them folded.

By the way, GitHub markdown allows one to manually hide parts (using
<details> html tag)

Perhaps he didn't respond to the recent invitation.

Dima would know better than I, but my guess is that Nathann Cohen has
dropped out of SageMath development.

In https://github.com/sagemath/trac-to-github/issues/110, we actually hope to fold away all description-change comments. This might alleviate some of the automatic folding of lengthy comment chains.

I plan to start the final import today (Saturday) at 22:00 UTC.

There is no reason for "real" github accounts to be marked as mannequins.

IIRC, when Python.org made a move to GitHub, they only mapped to mannequins
old accounts of people for whom they didn't know a corresponding GutHub account.
(we map such accounts to "sagetrac-<trac acct name>").
But here we do know.
Whether the account owner accepts an invite to be on a sagemath org
team, is quite an orthogonal issue.

No, you are mistaken.

An org can only create issues & comments in the name of its members, not arbitrary GitHub users.
Which is why the invites had to be sent out and accepted.

Nathan Cohen stopped contributing to Sage definitively around the time William started SageMathCloud (now cocalc) as he thought that William was profiting from his work.

I couldn't find any posts from him since 2013.
