add a new function to Sage

Hello, I would like to add a new function to SageMath, but I don't know how to send the function to them for analysis. When I try to create a pull request, GitHub asks me to compare two different branches, but I'm not sure which branches to compare. Could someone help me?

I guess you have not uploaded your code changes to a fork on GitHub yet? Otherwise, it should propose the correct branches automatically.
