showing docstring with Tab stopped working

showed the docstring (at least some weeks ago). Today it seems to have
stopped working.

Yes, of course this works and shows the docstring in the output cell.
But with <TAB> the docstring was nicely shown in the lower half of the
window

sagews. (I am using the standard Sage kernel on the SMC)
