In PreTeXt, we load jQuery from sagemath.org:

https://sagecell.sagemath.org/static/jquery.min.js

We also need jQuery for other things, so I don't think it
makes sense to load it from sagemath.org .

In other contexts I load it with:

https://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js

Doing that on a page from PreTeXt with sage cells seems to
work fine.

Is there a reason for me not to switch to loading it from
jquery.com?

Regards,

David

I can't think of any. In fact, as our current instructions show
you do not need to load jQuery for SageMathCell at all, it is now bundled with the rest anyway. (It used to be the case that you had to first load jquery and then embedded_sagecell.)
