Fyi - helper for blind. Is that prevalent elsewhere?

Navi lens enhanced QR codes, coupled with blue tooth beacons and internal station maps will help reduce reliance on human support.

Yes they would, for instance, from Kashmiri Gate, you want to catch Blue line to let's say Rohini West and you are coming from say Lajpath Nagar. So when you reach Kashmiri Gate, you just gotta tell the helper at Kashmiri Gate that you want to go to Rohini West and he will automatically take you to that platform and help you get on that train. Regarding railway station, they'd help you there as well but as I haven't gone to any railway station so cannot tell you where or to whom exactly would they drop you to but  if you have to take a Rikshaw to reach the Railway Station, then they'd help you flag it. I have seen some people going to the New Delhi as well as Old Delhi railway stations while availing the service of the helpers though.

I have also availed an assistance provided by Delhi metro for reaching the platform at Anand vihar metro station as its little complicated to reach the correct platform from the ticket counter. But i have not availed the escort facility at more complicated inter-change such as from Airport line to Blue line at New Delhi railway station metro. I am just wondering whether they will assist us for this interchange as it takes almost 5 - 10 minutes walking from one to another  metro or to the railway station.

Hi,
I am a frequent user of Delhi Metro and here as well the services are pretty good. We are given helpers which coordinate at our pickup, drop and interchange stations to allow us to successfully reach our destinations. Either the security guards call the Helper or they inform that a helper is needed to the customer care centre or they help us reach the customer care centre so we can inform about it. Everything's pretty easy and one can very easily travel independently. The helpers also help us to flag a Rikshaw or Auto for our destination as well.

Hi All,

Are there any Metro users here? I’d love your feedback on its accessibility features—what currently exists and what can be improved to help visually impaired individuals use it independently.

Also, sharing below  a YouTube video, created in collaboration with L&T Metro and Grailmaker Innovations, to raise awareness about tactile tiles at Hyderabad Metro station.
