Dear SabreDAV experts:

We are using both Thunderbird/Lightning and Outlook 2013 with
Outlook CalDav Synchronizer to access our SabreDAV database.

When our Lightning users are creating events with attendees all
attendees will be sent an email from our Apache/PHP-webserver
running SabreDAV. When our Outlook-Users are doing the same
Outlook will sent an invitation on its own and SabreDAV will do
as well, resulting in two invitations sent for the same event.

So my idea is to change SabreDAV such that it somehow detects
wether an event was created by Outlook and supresses the invitation
email in this case.

Any ideas on how do this? Should I extend the IMipPlugin and
overload one of the functions such that it parses the event and
checks the PRODID?

Kind regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

Really this is a bug that should be reported to whatever utility you use in outlook.
CalDAV clients have the option to tell the server that the client, and not the server, handles invitations.
If this option is correctly set, sabre/dav would not send anything out.

I would rather see that outlook sync tools don't email at all and completely rely on the server, but if this is not an option, see if you can get SCHEDULE-AGENT=CLIENT set.
