Hi everyone,

after upgrading to El Capitan I have problems with the CardDAV sync. I suppose Evert has heard of these problems and it looks like this is a sandboxing issue in El Capitan (and not a SabreDAV bug). Nevertheless I would like to know whether anybody has a solution for this issue.

The issues results in a beach ball everytime I want to edit a contact. After several seconds, I can edit the contact, but the changes are not synced to the server. Console.app is flooded with entries like the following:

20.01.16 13:25:19,237 sandboxd[130]: ([15689]) com.apple.Addres(15689) deny network-outbound /private/var/run/mDNSResponder
20.01.16 13:25:19,230 com.apple.AddressBook.InternetAccountsBridge[15689]: dnssd_clientstub ConnectToServer: connect() failed path:/var/run/mDNSResponder Socket:4 Err:-1 Errno:1 Operation not permitted

Thanks
Arno

I have to rephrase this a little: Changes are synced after what looks like several retries by the contacts.app, but the beach ball still shows up everytime I want to edit a contact detail.

Hi Arno,

it sadly seems to be a bug in Contacts.app.

Hopefully Apple will fix it in 10.11.3 or a later release.

Cheers
Dominik

Well, it looks like this bug wasn’t fixed in 10.11.3. At least I still see this after updating. :(

Guess we'll have to wait for 10.11.4 (or later) then. The rdar is still open, too.

If you have access to https://bugreport.apple.com it probably makes sense to also report this issue and mention rdar://problem/23311441

At WWDC they always tell, that people should duplicate bug reports - that's how they prioritize.

Looks like it has been fixed in 10.11.5. Seems to work fine now.

Yes indeed. Fixed since May 16th (see update below): http://support.fruux.com/apple/why-is-my-contacts-app-so-slow
Sorry, forgot about this thread here.
