Sorry, the partitions are set up like this:  /boot  /(the root filesystem)  /home, filesystem Ext4.

What kind of hardware do you have? I'm curious about what appears to be a graphics issue. Black screen with white line isn't what should show. This sounds like an Nvidia/nouveau problem.

Yep, I bet this is the issue where nouveau keeps loading even though the GPU should only use nvidia. Can you press ALT+F2 and login, then do and lsmod to see if nouveau is loaded?

Good morning

With the iso of the 26th I encounter the same problems, @ Jerrod Frost,

lsmod:

mxm_wmi 16384 1 nouveau

i2c_algo_bit 16384 i915

dkm_kms_helper 157744 i915 nouveau

ttm 98304 1 nouveau

I make the logs available, lspci

Yep, your issue is because both nouveau and the Nvidia driver are loading and you can only load one. It seems we aren't blacklisting nouveau like we should.

For correctness I keep the post updated:

With ISO of 19/04/20 I find exactly the same problems, to get to the desktop I use the SAFE MODE, at the end of the configuration post installation crash Calamares.

Just to tell you that with the iso 19-Aug-2020 in "Safe Mode" mode everything works perfectly, thank you for the excellent work you have done.
