Santana 22 Nationals - July 19-21 2024

Santana Fleet,  

I would like to see if we can get critical participation for a Fleet Meeting focused on 2024 Santana Nationals at SCYC (and dues).  I would like to propose either next wednesday January 31 or Wednesday February 7th from 5:00-6:30 ish.  I will provide a zoom link but also will host an in person portion of the meeting at the club downstairs before the Wednesday night WISS events.  

If anyone has an old list of tasks that need to be taken care of please send it my way.  

Please let me know if you are interested and able to attend.

Hi Ross -

I can do either of those Wednesdays.  And, thanks, for including dues on the agenda.  I was getting ready to send out an email asking folks to Venmo their annual dues to me.  BTW, I just checked my records and I can’t find any list of tasks for the nationals.

I have a few budgets, NORs, supplemental information, and event permit documents from the 12, 16, & 21 Nationals. 

I think I found the most important one right here though.

Thanks Tom, Fred sent me a set of files from 2021 and 2016 to work from so I am set.  Lets move forward with Feb 7th 5:00-6:30 at the Yacht Club as our time and place for a Santana Fleet meeting focused on Preparing for Nationals.  I will provide a zoom link for out of towners....

Ahoy all,  Thanks for those who can join us for the Santana Fleet 9 meeting on Wednesday.  We will meet downstairs and can break to grab food at 17:30.  Zoom link for out of towners is on the agenda and here.

Attached is an agenda, feel free to make suggested changes and additions.  Also attached is a draft NOR for Nationals that I will ask for suggested edits.  Kris has offered to give it a first read.  Additional changes can be discussed at the meeting.  Also attached are two Sailing Instructions from Santa Cruz and Monterey nationals of previous years.  We will discuss 2024 sailing instructions, coordinate logistics for the Nationals, request for volunteer support is officially requested and assign  possible jobs that are listed on the agenda.  One question is what sail course we should run, I enjoy mixing it up with the leeward mark /gate below the start line for an upwind finish but I want recommendations from the fleet.
