Registration now open.

Peter Putt has stepped up to run RC.

I may be out of town that weekend.  Still uncertain.

Let's see how many can make it.

Also as per other Veeder Cup thread lets try to reserve Tara for use by EYC as practice race for the Veeder sail off.  I'll check with them and try to confirm if they can sail that day and get an answer soon.

Should we arrange for some match racing?

Just FYI: I'm not around the weekend of July 12. I'll be at the High Sierra Regatta (dinghy weekend).

Hey Team Tuna!

Couple of things to check in about in the heat of Summer!

July Team Racing! – July 12th is next Team Racing!

Owners:-Please let me know if you aren’t going to be available to sail, but would be willing to have your boat sailed by qualified skipper/crew. Also let me know if you need crew members.

Crew/Skippers – If you are looking for a ride, let me know so I can be sure to connect you!

UCSC Women’s Sailing Program in July – The UCSC Women’s Sailing program usually sails on Mondays. They have a conflict for a few weeks in July/early August. This is an opportunity for our fleet to develop new skilled crew and skippers through the UCSC Women’s Sailing group. So far we have three of our fleet have volunteered to make their boats available on Wednesday evenings (starting the 9th or 16th ) where I will organize a race in the style of Tuesday nights, specifically giving the women the tiller and developing race experience. Wewe would welcome more boats, LMK if you are interested in joining with your boat!

Upcoming events-

SantanaRama!  LMK if you are planning on going as we will be organizing a group sail down and back; I’ll also look to help anyone who might need to trailer instead of sail. We expect to honor Ross as this event was his last regatta.

Friday Dinghies w/ a side of Tuna!  We are looking to get Santanas involved with Friday dinghies specifically by getting Corinthians on the tiller. Hats of to Liard for driving this effort forward!

Veeder Cup Challenge- The Veeder cup qualifying regatta will be raced in Santanas, on August 2nd with representatives of SCYC, Stillwater, and Elkhorn vying for the right to challenge Monterey in September.

Many Thanks-

Charlie

Thanks for the updates Charlie!

Regarding Friday Dinghy with a side of Tuna: NOR and registration is posted for July 18 at https://scyc.org/regatta/bR6BtUPUnv

Note that Santana skippers must be under age 36--we're trying to build interest among Corinthian members. Let Charlie know if you want to coordinate on boat use!
