Per below, and apologies if this is redundant news!

Summary: UCSC Boating Center is hosting a low key, fun regatta on Jan 31st.

It's open to: ILCA 7, ILCA 6, CFJ, and Santana 22's.

It's free and they'd like participants to bring something for the pot-luck social afterwards. 

They would enjoy having SCYC members participate.

Registration is here and required by 1600 on Jan 29

NOR is attached below.

Hello UCSC Boating Center Sailors, 

I am excited to announce we will be hosting a regatta on January 31st, and a checkout on January 24th at 10:30. If you are interested in joining either please fill out the google form below. All information about the regatta is also included in the attached Notice or Race (NOR). If there is enough interest we hope to start holding regattas and checkouts like this monthly. 

For the regatta we plan to get meet by the Boating center around 1100 to go over the course and some racing rules and hopefully start races by 1200. After the races we will have a potluck social so I encourage everyone to bring something if you can.

Many of the boats were able to get out on Saturday but only by going continuously toward dirt (round and round we go, where we stop….).   Unfortunately, at some point that stopped working, as well.  Don’t know if it’s been fixed yet.  You might want to reach out to Jay Zucca, SCYC Port Captain.   He would know.

As of Sunday morning everything was working.

Whaler, hamachi, and hot tuna all came out of the water fine.
