Black-billed Magpie near Talent

[Pepper Trail]

As I exited I-5 at Talent (exit 21) at 11 AM this morning, I saw a Black-billed Magpie perched atop a telephone pole. I know they are seen regularly at the Transfer Station on Valley View Road, but this is the first time I’ve seen one on the valley floor.

Pepper- Thanks for your posts. I check everyday but if not for you, this site is next to dead. Maybe I'll submit some mediocre photos just for some activity and I encouage birders to particpate beyond ebird.

Pepper, a couple months back I saw one fly across I-5 just a bit north of there at the south-bound rest stop. I wonder if there's a site around there that is attracting them.
