Hi

Running a simple cat of a text file against a set of servers returns the following error:

Request failed: undefined

Running version Rundeck 3.1.2-20190927

I have looked at the logs  in /var/log/rundeck, and nothing jumps out.

However if I call date as a command this works fine.

What is the best way to troubleshoot this type of error?

Thanks In Advance
Dave Maguire

Hi David,

Could you run the job on debug mode to take a look?

Regards!

It's not a job. It's run under the command option. Date works, but he the cat does not.

Is there debug mode for command as well as job?

Thanks In Advance

Hi David,

You can check the /var/log/rundeck/service.log file at the moment of executing your command, also, you can create a single job with that command and execute it on debug mode to check what happens. If you like, share the node definition (resources.xml file?) to take a look (please hide or change any potentially sensitive information).

Greetings!
