I am trying to add linkedin login feature in my rails application using omniauth gem..I used omniauth gem for Fb login and it's working fine..but it's not working for linkedin login
class User < ActiveRecord::Base
attr_accessible :name, :oauth_expires_at, :oauth_token, :provider, :uid
def self.from_omniauth(auth)
where(auth.slice(:provider, :uid)).first_or_initialize.tap do |user|
user.provider = auth.provider
user.uid = auth.uid
user.oauth_token = auth.credentials.token
user.oauth_expires_at = Time.at(auth.credentials.expires_at)
user.save!
end
end
/controller/sessions_controller.rb
class SessionsController < ApplicationController
def create
user = User.from_omniauth(env["omniauth.auth"])
redirect_to root_url
end
def destroy
session[:user_id] = nil
redirect_to root_url, :notice => "Signed out!"
end
end
/config/initializer/omniauth.rb
OmniAuth.config.logger = Rails.logger
Rails.application.config.middleware.use OmniAuth::Builder do
provider :facebook, '###########', '###########'
provider :linkedin, "##########", "##############", :scope => 'r_fullprofile r_emailaddress r_network', :fields => ["id", "email-address", "first-name", "last-name", "headline", "industry", "picture-url", "public-profile-url", "location", "connections"]
end
end
TypeError in SessionsController#create
