Hello All,

I have always wanted to attend a Rails conference, and as a side benefit I figured it would be a great place to meet people who are looking for developers.

For those of you who have attended some in the past, does there tend to be allot of remote work being advertised or is it mostly in-house that is in demand?

Thanks.

A bit of both really - roughly representative of what is out there in general, although smaller conferences are often biased towards companies from that area. But say if you're interested in doing remote work for a UK based company, then attending a UK based conference makes a lot of sense - I usually find it easier to communicate with people I've met in the flesh at least once.

Hi Fred,

Yes that is what I was thinking, meeting in-person has many advantages :)

I'm actually in Toronto.
