CentOS 6.5 Mysql 5.5 RoR deploying issue

Hey all,

have any of you ever had some trouble trying to deploy to a CentOS 6.5 with Mysql 5.5? I'm getting some errors on the database creation and it seems that I miss the mysql-devel package to build the db, but can't find it anywhere!

Post the errors.

Did you use mysql55-* packages?

Well,

after several attempts I could manage to get an update to mysql5.6, now the problem happens to be another:
LoadError: /usr/lib64/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.18: version `libmysqlclient_16'

it seems the gem isn't compiling properly on the system, any one have a clue?
